and that's all. Doesn't Simone look fantastic! All in the tummy area which is nice (not that it would matter if she was as round as a butterball!) . Not long now...

Wow Simone -- you look amazing! I hope you're being offered plenty of seats on the Tube and/or bus. No doubt at all that there's a bubba in da house!
What a perfectly neat little bump you are sporting! For what it's worth, I think it's a boy. I used to be uncannily accurate in predicting the sex of babies (Caroline will provide a testament), but alas, I've gone through a rocky patch and have just got three wrong!!!
If you have any birth/motherhood queries, feel free to email me. And if I can be so forward into offering a piece of unsolicited advice (actually, make that two), they are:
1) If you want to get baby into some sort of routine, buy The Contented Little Baby Book by Gina Ford. I'm a complete fan. Seems hardcore, but it really works and makes a lot of sense.
2) Even if you're breast-feeding, give baby at least one bottle a day (of either expressed milk or formula) by about three or four weeks. This is to get the baby used to taking a bottle so s/he won't refuse it when you need to give a bottle down the track. I exclusively breastfed Penelope for 7 months and never gave her a bottle at all (except for once or twice in the early weeks). When I had enough of breastfeeding and wanted to introduce formula, she refused the bottle and the only way I could get her to take a bottle was to go completely cold-turkey one weekend -- basically starving her until she was desperate enough to take the bottle. Absolutely heartbreaking and devastating and I would hate anyone else to go through this. I have several other friends whose breastfed babies were similarly loathe to take a bottle after being exclusively breastfed for months on end.
Good luck with the birth and I wish you and Patrick every happiness in this very exciting time!!
Congratulations Simone and Patrick. Simone you look really great and I have to agree with Wendy on this one, I thought a boy straight up as well. As for Gina, not a big fan but have to agree that some of the stuff makes a lot of sense. Take care. Anna
