Phoebe's Birthday

I wish I was there. Poor spidey, I am not sure how he feels about the dress. And Gwen, I like how Phoebe's dress matches the cake (I could do with a slice right now). Mum, i like the beret. too cute. x

Thanks, Caro! We are actually having a big joint summer party for the girls' birthdays on October 4 -- because Pen's b'day is Oct 25 and since they have the same friends, at this stage, I thought it made sense to have just one party. The cake for Phoebe in the pic was just a little afternoon tea for the grandparents and great-grandparents. Very nice for the oldies.

My birthday is on the 18th! So I guess the summer party can celebrate my special day, too. I'm also going out for dinner on Sat night and the following w.end, Paul and I are have a romantic getaway -- not to Mexico like some lucky bunny we know -- but to, er, the Marriott in the City. Don't have to tell you how nice it will be to have some US time and to be pampered in the spa etc...

Other news, baby scan shows all is well and although it's really too early to tell, sonographer says it looks like it's a....

BOY!!

So we'll see, eh? I shall not tell anyone after the 19-week scan, but I don't mind telling people now because the 12-week scan is not terribly accurate in finding out the sex. But it will be interesting to see!! Boys ARE ok, yeah??

Happy birthday to you, Miss 34 -- and I love you, big sissy.

One more thing, Aunty Natty -- we were so proud on Saturday; we went to Penelope's Kindy Art Show and one of HER pictures was the one chosen to be displayed alongside the Welcome sign! It was the only one!! Out of about 75 kiddies!! What a lovely surprise!!

Oh, and that afternoon, we went to Paul's Aunty Rhyl's place out in the country (Boonah, past Ipswich) and the girls had so much with a walk in the bush, a sausage sizzle round the campfire and toasting marshmallows after. Magical moments. Will send pix soon, i promise! Have already dowloaded them!!

wow a BOY how exciting. yes boys are fabulous....i wonder if your boy will be as energetic as mine?!!! simone seems to have a lively one with hunter - can't wait to meet him. have a lovely weekend (so jealous) and have a lovely day on the 18th! the party also sounds very fun. we are in the midst of renovations - its very very very hard with kids but also exciting to see it getting better everyday.
one day when we are up at the farm you should bring the girls up - we have cows and calves and they can have a tractor ride! x
